Snijmeesters

The Couronne-lights above the long table at Frisk are from Snijmeesters. The Couronne is a laser cut light that is being hold together by just three bolts. By clamping the poplar wood strips under tension in the rings, the natural bulge in the cap is created. By applying the wood double layer, a unique world is created between the interior and exterior, between which the light is reflected to a calm complexion.

Snijmeesters is a young company whom are active in designing and realising 2D and 3D products made with laser cutting. Snijmeester always thinks ahead to make the best of the design. In the meantime they have ample experience in the field of laser cutting, designing and building.

VAN STUK

VAN STUK designed and realized our veranda. We wanted a veranda in Scandinavian style and wanted to upcycle the sofa of the previous restaurant. The old sofa is now the central spot on the stage. Because the old Droste factory is a fairly large and open building, we have opted for a pergola above the sofa. That gives a cosy, warm atmosphere. The wooden slats stop the worst wind and at the same time maintain the open ambiance. The plants combine nicely with the green from the greenhouse. The VAN STUK tables and shelves are a nice addition to Frisk’s interior.

VAN STUK is the young Haarlem company of Robert van der Vlugt and Martijn van Velsen. They are artisanal and at the same time modern furniture makers who design unique products.

Werkterrein: Brand- and quartermaster

The durable collaboration between the creative Frisk team and the makers of MAAK Haarlem started with the work area. This leaded to a special and dynamic project, which resulted in something everyone can enjoy. The beautiful table is mainly made by the makers of the learning company ‘Perspectief’.

‘Quartermaking’ is for Werkterrein the building of a surrounding where people can function healthy and optimal. The soul, goal and message of the client are the starting point for the subject. Upcycling and circularity are the base of the realisation, whereby toxic substances will be avoided and working with people with a distance to the job market is a preference. Performance will be executed in own management and preferably in co-creation. Thereby there will be searched for a good collaboration with local makers and designers.
